Fraudsters Impersonating Abri
We have recently received an increase in reports from members who have been contacted by individuals claiming to be from “Abri’s Fraud Department.”
In these cases, the caller asked members to confirm supposed pending transactions. In one instance, the fraudster even sent authentication codes to the member while on the phone, making the call appear legitimate. Unfortunately, engaging in conversation with these scammers resulted in unauthorized transactions on the members’ accounts.
What You Need to Know:
- Abri does not have a “Fraud Department.” Our team may reach out from our Risk Department when necessary.
- We will never ask you to share authentication codes, online banking passwords, or secure verification codes over the phone.
- If you receive a suspicious call claiming to be from Abri, do not engage.
What You Should Do:
- Hang up immediately.
- Contact Abri directly using the phone number listed on our official website.
- Ask to speak with our Risk Department to verify whether the call was legitimate.
Your security is our priority. When in doubt, hang up and call us directly.
